So I have been lucky enough to be following the Baas/Meowfurion arc from the very beginning, but I have been a little concerned with the mummified nature of the PD's response.
Overall I think Pred has made for great RP as sheriff, but the entire thing has had various scales of sincerity from him and the other people on High Command, aside from Wrangler, who thinks he should be fired.
I understand that firing someone is something that is only done within PD, however, if all of the commands are "corrupt", and willing to meme about this situation where the victim and his group/allies are taking things very seriously, it feels disingenuous to their RP. This is my first go watching RP and I have been instantly able to recognize why corruption is a fine line, cops have almost god-like power on the server, and if they can do things like that without losing their job it kind of throws off the whole balance of power completely and gives them a pass to do whatever they want because they know in a few days it'll be like it never happened.
Thank you for the information
Here the thing that needs to be understood is do police have to contract things OOC about being corrupt? If not, then what would be the reason? I feel as though fraudulent makes for good RP when it's taken seriously and not mishandled, but I assume the consequences should be gotten by the high command and the players interlinked beforehand in the same way that gang members are forced to Perma if they betray their group. Check out more about BaaS and Backend as a Service – What is a BaaS now. I get that these characters are a big investment for their players, but when meowfurion is ready to let in a scenario, but at the same time the officers who are liable for planning the consequences the assaulting officer faces are not ready to act, it feels weird to some? I don't know how else to put it, any other ways are encouraged, just looking to see in case anyone else feels the same or can describe this to me.
